Genuine & Forgeries with and without Sankō
Sankō in on either side below top group of character in oval band.
Spiro: No Sankō
Chrysanthemum Crest has only 13 petals. There are only 5 spokes instead of the correct 6 spokes in the wheel at the NW corner of the design.
This is the only known example of this forgery with no sankō or mozō . The forgery can be identified by the paper which is speckled with blue dots.

The stamps and cancel were produced by multiple copying of a die and slight differences are found among individual copies. The plates were much larger than the engraved plates, but the exact size is undetermined.
